The Launching of Latin Life
There is more to Latin Life than just salsa.

What began as an idea is now a reality. Executive producer and host Roberto Hausman, a well-recognized business and community leader, put together this terrific show. It provides a vehicle for Canadian Hispanics and Latinos to showcase their lifestyle and culture.

The half-hour Toronto-based television show features footage of and interviews on all the main events in the community with a focus on people, culture and lifestyle. Host Roberto Hausman finds stories of celebration and the love of life mixed in with music, art, dancing and business to produce a very entertaining and informative program.

Latin Life TV was honoured to achieve first place in the Latin community as the Top TV Program of the Year from Top Choice Awards, Mark of Excellence (topchoiceawards.com). The event took place with a full house at the Renaissance Convention Centre in Toronto on November 4, 2006.

Latin Life TV started its sixth season, now on the A Channel (20), on Sundays at 9:00 a.m.  It covers entertainment, music, fashion, food, destinations, events, personalities and more.  Its motto reads: “There is more to Latin Life… than just salsa” and this point is proven each and every week when you watch the show.

The program airing on Sunday, November 12, 2006 featured exclusive interviews with former Toronto Police Chief Julian Fantino and Toronto reporter Alicia Kay, a special feature on Canadians helping children in the Dominican Republic, beautiful sights from Colombia and of course some Latin music.

The Portuguese, Italian, Greek and Polish communities were also represented at the Top Choice Award night. There was music, entertainers, bands, singers and dancers from five different ethnic backgrounds, and the level of excitement was high. It was truly a five-star event.

It was just phenomenal to see so much talent in our ethnic communities, and the fact that recognitions and awards were given proves once again that Canada is one of the best places to live in the whole world.
