Did you know that May Day...

is celebrated on the first Monday of May in northern Europe?

For northern Europeans, May Day traditionally marks the first day of spring after the long, harsh months of winter. The day is filled with dancing and flowers to symbolize new growth and life. The maypole, an enormous striped pole with cascading colorful ribbons, is a central focus of the celebration.
